Family Weekend Information & Check-In
Time: 9:00 am - 1:00pm
Location: Student Union 1st Floor Hallway
Upon your arrival to Family Weekend, stop by Family Weekend Check-In, located in the Student Union. There will be signage across campus pointing towards Check-In. When you visit Family Weekend Check-In, your family will receive information about the events planned, a campus map, a coupon to the UConn Bookstore, and more! Families that purchased admission to the Specialty Meals (Saturday BBQ and/or Sunday Brunch) must stop by to pick up their tickets/wristbands to the meal(s). Families that did not purchase admission to the Specialty Meals are not required to visit Family Weekend Check-In.

Meet Provost Anne D’Alleva and the team of Vice Provosts who oversee the division of academic affairs for brunch! The Provost’s Office is responsible for leading the academic vision of the university and driving student success and faculty excellence. Provost Anne D’Alleva and Vice Provosts Gladis Kersaint, Amy Gorin, Tadarrayl Starke, Dan Schwartz, and Leslie Shor will join attendees to discuss upcoming and ongoing initiatives.

Explore the HBL's seven stories of resources and services, check out its amazing views from Level 3 and 4, and learn about the many ways that student success is supported by our dedicated staff. Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry

The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry is one of America’s hidden treasures—a superb collection of over 3,500 puppets from all over the world; an archive of books, manuscripts, posters, drawings, audio-visual materials, and photographs all covering the history of puppetry. We encourage you to stop by and see all of our treasures.
Additionally, join us for FREE fall community puppet-building workshops to design and build life-size and over-life-size puppets for a new pageant production—The Conference of the Birds—to be performed at the Celebrate Mansfield Festival in Downtown Storrs. Campus-Wide Scavenger Hunt
Time: 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Location: Student Union Terrace
Explore campus for the opportunity to win a prize! Your family can join the competition against others to hit all of the Scavenger Hunt stops and answer some UConn trivia questions along the way. Pick up your Scavenger Hunt packet anytime after 12:00 pm to begin the adventure. The deadline to submit your family's completed Scavenger Hunt packet is 2:00 pm. All families that successfully complete the Scavenger Hunt will be entered to win a UConn prize pack including a $100 gift card to the UConn Bookstore and more!
J. Robert Donnelly Husky Heritage Sports Museum

Located in the UConn Alumni Center, this museum is the ultimate destination for both long-time fans of the school and first-time visitors. The growth and development of Connecticut athletics is traced via text, photographs and select artifacts from its humble beginnings in the 1890s to its present day ranking among the elite major college athletic programs in the nation. Let the sights and sounds of more than a century of intercollegiate athletics competition come alive during your visit, and make sure to see the 2023 & 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship trophies.
Doug Bernstein Game Room

Located in the Student Union off of Union Street, the Doug Bernstein Game Room is one of the best places on campus to relax. Stop by with the family to play air hockey, pool, ping pong, video games, arcade games, and more! The Game Room will be free to UConn students and their families during Family Weekend.
Women's Soccer vs. Texas A&M

Location: Morrone Stadium

Women's Volleyball vs. Dartmouth

Botanical Conservatory Tours

The UConn Botanical Conservatory has the largest and most diverse collection of plants at an academic institution in the Northeast, and one of the top three most diverse university greenhouse facilities in the country. With over 2,700 species in about 10,000 square feet, the Conservatory Collection is a living library of extraordinary scientific, conservation and educational value. An estimated 60% of all UConn students utilize and visit the Conservatory for classes and it provides profound, immersive learning opportunities for both students and residents of Connecticut. It is a place to unwind, explore, and immerse yourself in the incredible biodiversity the Collection offers.
William Benton Museum of Art
Time: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Location: 245 Glenbrook Road
The William Benton Museum of Art is Connecticut’s state art museum with a collection of more than 7,000 works dating from the 15th to the 21st centuries. The museum annually presents 10-12 exhibitions of art from its collection and from loaned works. Lectures, gallery talks, salon discussions, campus art walks, musical performances, and drawing sessions are among the museum’s popular programs. In addition to the exhibits in the museum, check out UConn's collection of campus art and sculptures through the Benton's self-guided walking tour.
